Biography

Lance Ellington is the son of legendary 1950’s bandleader Ray Ellington. His elegant vocal style has been in great demand from the world’s top recording artists such as Sting, George Michael and Robbie Williams. He has been regularly heard on numerous commercials and Film and TV projects. His appearance as his father in the movie  The Life and Death of Peter Sellers gave him the inspiration to record his first album Lessons In Love which was a tribute to the halcyon era of the big bands and crooners of the 1950’s.

Lance's latest album 'There Comes A Time' is a collaboration between talented arranger and jazz pianist Ian Lynn and songwriters Julia Taylor-Stanley and Rod Thomas.  Believing Lance's voice to be in a class of its own the team have dedicated the past year to crafting an album of smooth jazz originals that showcase Lance's exceptional ability and world class talent. Lance is currently a featured vocalist on  the popular series Strictly Come Dancing.  His supporters now include Michael Parkinson and Des O’Connor.
